About the formats
MOV – QuickTime video
Apple's video format: iPhones, iPads, Macs (screen recordings with QuickTime) and many cameras save MOV, usually with AAC sound. Windows, Android and many players and sites don't open MOV, and the files are large.
MP3 – MPEG-1 Audio Layer III
The audio format with the widest support. At 192 kbps a minute of sound takes about 1.4 MB, a small part of the video's size.
WAV, M4A and FLAC
WAV and FLAC keep the sound exactly for editing (up to 30 minutes per file). M4A (AAC at 256 kbps) stays in Apple's format for iTunes and iPhones.
